Our City

Despite its relative cold, Whitehorse is ranked among Canadian cities with the most comfortable climate. The city supports a thriving, vibrant art and music scene, hosting headline entertainment acts, international performers and several music festivals every year. In the dead of winter the Frostbite Music festival warms things up with everything from funk to klezmer punk and much more. The Canada Games Centre was built for the Canada Winter Games in 2007 and is the main centre for indoor recreation activity for the City of Whitehorse and surrounding communities. Hiking, biking and skiing trails can be accessed within steps of our "Wilderness City", and the Yukon river flows right through town.

Our Yukon

Kluane National Park. Tombstone Territorial Park. Kusawa. The Wind, the Snake or the historic Yukon rivers. As the discovery of gold drew thousands of adventurers to the Klondike in 1997, so today the natural beauty and stunning landscapes of the Yukon still attract travellers in search of adventure and wilderness wonders.
